Hyde Jekyll, Me (2015) is a South Korean television series starring Hyun Bin and Han Ji-min and is directed by Park Shin Woo. It is based on Lee Choong-ho’s webtoon Dr. Jekyll Is Mr. Hyde, which gave a romantic comedy spin on the literary character. The series aired on SBS from January 21 through March 26, 2015.
CEO Gu Seo-Jin (Hyun Bin) is a third-generation chaebol who runs the theme park, Wonder Land. He seemingly has everything — looks, brains, and fortune. But a traumatic incident in his childhood causes a split in his personality — one personality is cold, and ruthless, while the other is kind, gentle, and strong. Because of his condition, Gu Seo-Jin is unable to date normally so marriage seems out of the question.
As CEO, Gu Seo-Jin makes the final financial decisions for Wonder Land, and due to low tickets sales and it’s high overhead, he decides to close the circus show. The circus has been part of Wonder Land since it’s opening and what he thought would be a simple process turns out to be much more difficult when he finds himself butting heads with the beautiful, young circus master, Jang Ha Na (Han Ji-Min), who insists on saving the failing circus.
Jang Ha Na has gone abroad to study so she could fulfill her dream of revamping the circus, bringing it back to its former glory like it had been under her Circus Master father, who died.
Things become more complicated for everyone when Jang Ha Na meets and falls in love with Gu Seo-Jin’s sweet Jekyll personality, and then, little by little, she watches as the Hyde side of Gu Seo Jin begins to transform into a man she can also love. What now?
