South Korean actor, Lee Min-ho was born on June 22, 1987 in Heukseok-dong, Seoul, South Korea. He is also a singer and a endorsement model. Lee has a large fan base worldwide both in Asian and western countries including U.S, France, Australia, Canada, Spain and Italy. It was his role in Boys Over Flowers (2009) as Gu Jun-pyo that helped him gain widespread fame in Korea and some parts of Asia and won him the 45th Baeksang Arts Awards. He was named Asian Male God by a 2014 poll in a Chinese entertainment magazine.
Lee Min-ho has released two albums, My Everything released in March of 2013, and Songs For You released in October of 2014.
He has a many notable lead roles in television series include the comedy-drama Personal Taste (2010), City Hunter (2011) through which he established himself as an action hero, The Great Doctor (2012), The Heirs (2013), Legend of the Blue Sea (2016) and The King: Eternal Monarch (2020). Lee Min-ho television series have been so successful that they have established him as an internationally, and he is a top Hallyu star. According to a Hollywood Reporter article, Lee Min-ho has attained “Superstar” status.
Growing up, Lee Min-ho had hoped to become a professional soccer player. He was selected to train with South Korean manager and former professional player Cha Bum-Kun in his youth soccer class, but Lee was injured in 5th grade and this put an end to his soccer aspirations. Luckily for his fans, in his second year of high school, Lee Min-ho began studying acting and he completed majors in film and art at Konkuk University.
