A poor, widowed woman, desperate to support her 7-year-old daughter, and a wealthy business executive with a sick mother enter into a contract marriage together.
Han Ji-Hoon (Lee Seo-Jin) comes from a wealthy family, except that he is the product of an affair and has been forced to leave his mother to be raised by his father’s family. One day, he learns that his mother has a liver disease and she doesn’t have much time left to live. Her only hope is to get a liver transplant. Desperate to save her, Ji-Hoon is willing to enter into a 3 month marriage contract with a donor. He meets a woman who is working at his restaurant, Kang Hye Soo (Uee) who is a widowed mother with a brain tumor and a 7-year-old daughter, Eun-Sung (Shin Rin-Ah). She is willing to give a portion of her liver for money to pay off her dead husbands debts and to help her daughter survive after she is gone. She does not tell Ji-Hoon about her brain tumor but attempts to fulfill her obligations.
