Mischievous Kiss: Love in Tokyo (2013) [Itazura na Kiss: Love in Tokyo] is a Fuji TV Japanese soap opera, starring Honoka Miki and Yuki Furukawa. It aired from March 29, 2013 to July 19, 2013 with 16 episodes. In early October 2013, it was announced on the official website of Mischievous Kiss: Love in Tokyo that there would be a second season. A special titled Love in Okinawa aired on September 12, 2014. Then the second season began airing on November 24, 2014. Anime streaming site Crunchyroll acquired the streaming rights on January 6, 2014 and it can be seen currently on Rakuten VIKI.
Mischievous Kiss: Love in Tokyo (2013) is the fifth live adaptation of the popular Japanese manga “Itazura na Kiss,” following the original in 1996, Taiwan’s “It Started With a Kiss” (2005) and “They Kiss Again (2007), and Korea’s “Playful Kiss” (2010).
At a high school entrance ceremony, high school student Kotoko Aihara (Honoka Miki), who isn’t that smart, notices pretty boy Naoki Irie (Yuki Furukawa). She falls in love with him immediately. Kotoko initially doesn’t express her feelings to him, but finally has a chance to tell him how she feels. Unfortunately, Naoki turns Kotoko down, saying “I don’t like dumb women”. One day, Kotoko Aihara’s house is severely damaged by an earthquake. Until the house is rebuilt, Kotoko Aihara and her father decide to live with her father’s friend. When Kotoko Aihara moves to her new temporary house, she is surprised to learn that Naoki Irie lives there as well.

Mischievous Kiss 2: Love in TOKYO
Season 1 ends with the wedding of Naoki and Kotoko, the special episode “Mischievous Kiss 2: Love in Okinawa” follows Naoki and Kotoko on their honeymoon, where a strange couple turns up and meddles in their romantic getaway. As they settle back into their new lives after the honeymoon, Naoki and Kotoko experience all of the pressures of marriage and their careers. “Mischievous Kiss 2: Love in TOKYO” is the sequel to the popular “Mischievous Kiss: Love in TOKYO” (2013).
After her 6 years of one-sided love, Kotoko gets married to Naoki and they go to Okinawa for their honeymoon. On the plane they heading to Okinawa they meet a newlywed couple who disturb their honeymoon. They face a crisis of post-honeymoon divorce, but after all, Kotoko has a stronger bond with Naoki and feels happy. When Kotoko goes back from the honeymoon, she is shocked to learn that their marriage paper has not been filed yet. This is Naoki’s decision that he would not file the marriage paper until his father’s company, Pandai, makes it through.
