During their teen years Sin Joon Young (Kim Woo Bin) and No Eul (Bae Suzy) were classmates who were inseparably in love. However, circumstances beyond their control leads them their separate ways.
Years later, as adults, they meet again. Sin Joon Young is now a successful actor-singer superstar while No Eul has become a producer and director of documentaries.
The two are reunited when No Eul persuades a producer that she is the best director to make his documentary about Joon Young. Joon Young, dead-set against filming the documentary, initially gives No Eul a miserable time. Gradually, he relents and agrees to do the documentary, using the time to try and win her heart back.
Over time, Joon Young realizes No Eul is different. Now, she is materialistic and values money over justice, doing anything to get ahead. Unbeknownst to him, there is a reason for her behavior. After her father died in a hit-and-run accident, she was forced to quit school to support her younger brother and herself. In contrast, Joon Young had had his life planned for him. His mother wanted him to become a lawyer to follow in the footsteps of his estranged father, but he decided to quit law school and had become a singer-actor.
Will No Eul and Joon Young finally get together after all these years, or was their relationship doomed from the start.
