When the Weather Is Fine is a story about forgiveness, healing, and love. It takes place around a small book store in the countryside. Mok Hae-won (Park Min-young) has played the cello since childhood and became a cello teacher in Seoul. She has built her social life around her ability to play the cello, but because of her good character, she is often hurt emotionally by others so she has little trust in people which makes it difficult for her to get close to anyone. Lonely and discouraged with her life in Seoul, she decides to move back to her hometown of Bookhyun Village in Gangwon Province. Still living in the village is an old high school classmate, Im Eun-seop (Seo Kang-joon) who runs the bookshop, Goodnight Bookstore. Eun Seop lives a simple life. He wakes up and drinks his coffee, reads a book and writes on his blog. But life is not so simple after Hae-won returns as Eun Seop has always had a crush on her. Both their lives begin to change as they learn to trust in one another.
